Consistent focus booster

I've been a subscriber for over a year now, mainly for the Focus music. This latest experience, trying out the Cinematic focus music, was just as good as always. The quality of the tracks and their effectiveness for concentration have been really consistent across all my uses. It's why I keep coming back, honestly. I've used it for everything from writing reports to just needing to clear my head and get work done. Never disappoints, and the app is always reliable.

Pretty decent sleep music

So I gave the Sleep music a go last week 'cause I've been having trouble winding down. It was actually pretty good. Not like a magic wand or anything, but it did help me relax a bit more than usual. The app was simple enough to figure out, no weird tech stuff. Felt kinda chill using it, and I think I fell asleep quicker than I normally would. Might try some of their other stuff next time.

Helped my focus immediately!

I tried the Deep work audio and it was fantastic! I really needed something to help me concentrate on a big project, and this delivered. I got so much done that afternoon. I'm definitely subscribing again next month. Highly recommend this for anyone struggling with focus!

Solid app, great for coding

I decided to try Brain.fm for coding, specifically the 'Focus music for coding' tracks. The ordering process for the subscription was straightforward on their website, no issues there. Delivery of the service, as in access to the music, was instant after signing up. I've been using it for about two weeks now. The neural effect intensity control is a nice touch, letting me adjust it to how I feel each day. I mainly use the mobile app, and it's pretty stable, never crashed on me. I didn't need customer support for anything, which is always a plus. Overall, it's been a very positive experience and genuinely helps me get into the zone quicker when I'm working on complex code.

can you actually download the tracks to listen offline? my commute has zero signal.

R Ryan 1 month ago
Yup, totally. There's an offline mode in the app. Super useful for flights or dead zones.

Yeah, I download a bunch of focus tracks before heading into my office building, it's a lifesaver when the wifi goes out.

anyone tried this vs Endel? wondering which one is better for getting stuff done.

N Nick 1 month ago
I tried both. Brain.fm felt more direct for focus for me, like it was really pushing me to concentrate. Endel was more background vibe-y. Depends on what you're looking for, I guess.

Endel is good for just background noise, but if you need serious 'get in the zone' music, Brain.fm is way better. The neural modulation thing actually works, I swear.

can i use my subscription on my phone and my laptop at the same time? like, switch between them?

N Noor 2 months ago
Yep, you can. I use it on my phone during my commute and then switch to my laptop for work. It's tied to your account, not a specific device.

For sure, I've had it running on my desktop and then picked up on my iPad without any issues. Pretty flexible with devices.

hey, is the annual subscription always cheaper than paying monthly? wanna make sure before i commit.

D Derek 2 months ago
yeah definitely, it's a pretty good chunk cheaper over the year. i think it works out to like, two months free or something close to that.

Can confirm. I signed up for yearly and it was way less than if I did month-to-month. Plus, sometimes they have extra discounts for the annual plan.

how easy is it to cancel if I decide it's not for me? don't wanna get stuck with a subscription.

M Mia 1 month ago
Super easy. You just go into your account settings on the website and there's a cancel button. No hoops to jump through.

Yeah, I cancelled my free trial once to test it out, and it was straightforward. No annoying emails trying to get you back either, which is nice.

does this thing actually help with ADHD focus? or is it just another gimmick?

W Wendy Marsh 1 month ago
Honestly, for my ADHD, it's been a game changer. It's not a cure, but it seriously helps me tune out distractions and stay on task. The ADHD specific tracks are great.

I know it sounds wild, but it really does. I'm usually all over the place but when I put on the focus music, it's like my brain just calms down and gets to work. YMMV but worth a try with the trial.

how long does the free trial usually last? wanna check it out properly before buying.

C Cody L. 1 month ago
They usually do a 7 day trial, sometimes a 14 day one if you find a special link. I got 7 days when I signed up.

K Kate 1 month ago
I got a 1-month free trial through a podcast promo code, so it varies. Look around for those influencer codes, sometimes they give longer trials.

is there any kind of student discount for this? i'm on a pretty tight budget right now.

C Colin K. 2 months ago
I'm pretty sure I saw something about a student discount a while back. Check their site, it might be buried in the FAQs or a specific page.

M Megan B. 2 months ago
There absolutely is a student discount! I use it. You usually have to verify through some service like Unidays or SheerID, can't remember which one Brain.fm uses specifically.
